Exam form photo and signature rules (2026)
Upload rules for nine recruiting bodies and entrance exams, copied from the latest official notice we could find. Every page links to the official PDF and says when we last checked it.
The status shows how sure we are: Verified means we read the rule in the official document; Partly verified means some details are verified and others are not; Not verified means we could not read an official source.
- SSC CGL and CHSL 2026: signature size and live photo rules
Verified CGL and CHSL 2026 verified; MTS 2026 notice not foundFor SSC CGL 2026 and SSC CHSL 2026 you do not upload a photograph. The application form takes a live photo with your webcam or through the SSC app, and photographing an existing photo leads to rejection. - RRB NTPC and Group D: live photo and signature rules
Partly verified Group D rule seen only through search excerpts; NTPC 2026 notice not openedRailway Recruitment Board applications in 2025-26 capture a live photo inside the form, so there is no photo to resize. The file you upload is your signature: JPG only, 30-49 KB, at least 140 × 60 pixels, scanned at 100 DPI or more, in running handwriting.
- IBPS PO and Clerk 2026: photo, signature, thumb impression and declaration
VerifiedIBPS PO/MT-XVI and Clerk CSA-XVI use the same scanning rules: a photograph, a signature, a left thumb impression and a handwritten declaration, each with its own pixel size and KB range, plus your 10th certificate as an A4 PDF of up to 500 KB. A live photo is also taken while you fill in the form.
- SBI PO and Clerk 2026: photo, signature, thumb impression and declaration
VerifiedSBI PO 2026 and SBI Clerk (Junior Associates) 2026 ask for the same four uploads as IBPS: photo 200 × 230 px, signature 140 × 60 px, left thumb impression 240 × 240 px and a handwritten declaration 800 × 400 px. A live photo is also captured during the form.
- UPSC Civil Services: photo and signature rules (2026 notice)
Partly verified Rules verified; pixel sizes not stated in current noticesUPSC’s Civil Services 2026 notice asks you to upload a photograph and also capture a live photo in the Common Application Form. - NEET UG 2026: photo, signature and fingerprint sizes
Verified Verified, with one conflict in the bulletinNEET (UG) 2026 asks for a passport-size photo (colour or black and white, white background, the face about 80% of the image, taken on or after 1 January 2026), a signature, and an image of the fingers and thumb impressions of both hands. A live photo is also taken and matched with your Aadhaar.
- JEE Main 2027: photo and signature size
VerifiedJEE (Main) 2027 Session 1 applications run from 24 October to 22 November 2026. You upload a recent colour passport-size photo with a white background (10-200 KB), a clearly legible signature (10-100 KB) and your Class 10 certificate or marksheet as a PDF (50-300 KB).
- CUET UG 2026: photo and signature size
Verified Verified for the 2026 cycle; 2027 bulletin not releasedThe CUET (UG) 2026 bulletin asked for a recent colour photo of 10-200 KB (white background, face about 80% with ears visible) and a signature of 10-50 KB. The signature limit is smaller than JEE Main’s or NEET’s 100 KB, so a signature made for those exams may be too big here.
- India Post GDS 2026: photo and signature size
Verified Verified, with one conflict between documentsIndia Post’s GDS online engagement asks for a recent photograph (320 × 400 px recommended, shape 4:5, 30-100 KB) and a signature (300 × 120 px recommended, shape 5:2). - IBPS and SBI ask for four images (photo, signature, left thumb impression and a handwritten declaration) and also take a live photo.
- NTA exams (NEET UG, JEE Main, CUET UG) give KB ranges but no pixel sizes, and also take a live photo during the form.
