Exam age calculator: your age on the cut-off date
Notices fix age “as on” a date and print a date-of-birth window. Enter your date of birth to see your exact age on that date and whether it falls inside the window.
Nothing you type here is sent anywhere or saved. The calculation happens inside your browser.

Why the window matters more than the age
Notices usually state an age band, such as 20-30 years as on 01-07-2026, and then the exact dates it means: for IBPS PO-XVI, born not earlier than 02-07-1996 and not later than 01-07-2006, both dates included. In practice the band means “has turned 20 and has not yet turned 30”. Someone who turns 30 exactly on the cut-off date is outside it, even though a simple “age 30 or less” check would pass them. That is why this tool compares your date of birth with the window from the notice.
How the age is counted
- Age is shown as full years, then full months, then days, counted forward from your date of birth.
- When a month is shorter than your birth date (for example, born on the 31st), the month is counted as complete on the last day of that month.
- If you were born on 29 February, your birthday in other years is counted on 1 March.
- Dates are shown as DD-MM-YYYY.
Upper-age relaxations for some categories are listed in the notice. This tool only does the date maths. JEE Main and CUET UG state no age limit in their bulletins.
